Punjabi gobi (cauliflower with shredded ginger)
1lb 2oz cauliflower
3/4 tsp cumin seeds
3 tbsp oil
1-2 tbsp grated ginger
Pinch of red chile powder
1/4 tsp cumin
Pinch of garam masala
Salt
1. Cut the cauliflower into florets. Grind the cumin seeds.
2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the ginger for 30 seconds, then add the cumin seeds, chile, cumin, fry for 10 seconds more. Add the cauliflower and salt.
3. Add the garam masala and stir well. Cover with a lid and cook over low heat until the cauliflower is tender to taste. Serve immediately.
